About

Mr. Black created this site as a resource for GM's new to Shadowrun. He found lots of confusion on the many Shadowrun forum boards, and thought he might offer some help. Mr. Black then found that the players in his 5th edition games were more or less lost. They had been playing other RPG's that were more linear. In a dungeon, you basically go forward, clearing it out, and then descend deeper or fight an end boss. If you get beat up, you retreat, rest up and come back, more or less were you left off. The expansiveness of Shadowrun, combined with player agency through missions, stymied them. So Mr. Black started adding content for players also. Goddess knows they need the help.

GM's (and players) should feel free to use, borrow and adapt anything they like on this blog. It is, after all, your game. Mr. Black will not be coming to your house and killing anybody. Well, unless they work for Shiawase, or on the Tir Tairngire Council of Princes. Then there will be blood and flechette rounds. Mr. Black is not here to argue over your perception of the economics of Shadowrunning, the state of Seattle politics, or the preferred play style for your game. It is your game, run it as you see fit. Mr. Black is here to add cool ideas to your game, and perhaps get you and your players thinking in new and exciting ways. So enjoy, and you're welcome.

Mr. Black is definitely NOT here to argue rules. There are 3 awesome Shadowrun forum boards that do just that every day. If you feel the need to word fight about a 2 dice pool bonus for 17 pages, please do it there. That is what they are there for. And there are a lot of chummers on those boards smarter on the rules than Mr. Black.

Please feel free to leave any non-rule-related comments however. Mr. Black is always open to constructive criticism. He will however delete any rules-related word fights. Again, take it to the forum boards. He will also hunt down and eliminate any gutter bunny who just wants to be rude and disparaging. So play nice. 'Cause flechette rounds hurt.
